Hot take but I feel like Hardy should go. His trade value is quite nice right now, and with the signing of Dinwiddie, he will barely get minutes. Trying to trade into the 2025 draft could be nice as well.

Why is Exum still being so highly regarded….He aint no better defender than Hardy so STOP IT!!…Hardy can score way better than Exum. If Hardy gets more minutes he will produce more.
Whatever happened to "player development"?…THJ played all those minutes being trash on defense so don't give me that bs about Kidd will choose defense over offense
Hardy will be a bust. He’s 21 with a 16 yo mentality. Got the physical skills but no where near NBA mental toughness. Exum, a pro and by far a better defender and Kidd loves defenders. Should have traded Hardy while he still had value, but a short shooting guard who can’t play D is not really NBA calibre. (Dog mentality? He plays with blinders on and continues making knucklehead plays on D and offence)
Add the running floater/one legged jumper to his repertoire . He's ambidextrous with touch and can handle the rock, What he doesn't have is explosive quickness in the paint Add the floater, worked big for Nash, think it would be huge for Hardy. Jmvho.

I am considering a potential trade for him during the NBA mid-season trade deadline.
Spencer is on a one year deal and I don’t see Exum on the roster this time next season. I think the Mavericks have Hardy in a really good situation. Hardy will get 20 minutes per game and Spencer is fighting Grimes for minutes not Hardy for minutes. Mavs traded back into the draft to acquire Hardy so they’re not going to trick off resources like that. Hardy’s role when he was drafted was not to be a good defensive player Lol. Hardy literally has Luka Kyrie Spencer and Kidd as a coach. Hardy was around THJ so he knows how to not go 2-12 from the field. On a scale of 1-100 I’ll go out on a limb and say Hardy is a 79. I literally have him pegged for. 12pts per game as a 6th man this upcoming season.
