Billionaire mortgage lender Mat Ishbia is finalizing a purchase of the Phoenix Suns and the WNBA’s Mercury for a record price of $4 billion, sources told ESPN on Tuesday. Here are my quick thoughts.
The deal, expected to be announced as soon as Tuesday, will end the tumultuous tenure of owner Robert Sarver.

It's pretty huge that he was a former player at a high level (that won the NCAA tournament in 2000). I just hope he and his brother arent blowing all their cash with his (4.7 bill net worth) and become super stingy like Sarver. I think he knows this is an opportunity of a lifetime and he has to make a move now especially with Phoenix on the rise and rise!! He gets a 60% stake apposed to Sarver's 35%. Keep my seat warm Matt I'll buy-in later ππ. Being the biggest mortgage lender in US I think this will be ok
